Programs & Funds
The Foundation was created to raise philanthropic and community support for North Country HealthCare. North Country HealthCare provides affordable and accessible healthcare to all regardless of their ability to pay. Together we can make a difference in the lives of our patients and build a healthier future for our communities.
Proceeds from the John H. Caskey Endowment are used to support the uninsured and underinsured in our community who need healthcare. Ways that this fund may assist patients include medication assistance, medical equipment, living condition modifications, transportation, medical items not covered by insurance, basic needs and other financial assistance as needed.
This crisis fund goes to support North Country HealthCare’s patients identified to have specific behavioral health needs that would otherwise go unmet.
Funds go to support the dental health and oral education of the uninsured and underinsured living in our communities. Each year the hygiene team goes into the schools of Holbrook and Flagstaff to screen and teach young children the importance of proper oral hygiene. Some of the funds raised may go to support these types of projects.
Funds provide financial assistance for participation in our life changing after-school program. Girls on the Run inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Since 2012 our council has served 1,000+ girls in Apache, Coconino, Gila, Navajo and Yavapai counties. We are committed to serving diverse populations without our territory and are proud to successfully support over 60% of our participants with financial assistance in the form of program scholarships.
Education-Funds go to support testing, outreach and education necessary to identify and treat those living with Hepatitis C.
The John H. Caskey Endowment at North Country HealthCare goes to provide enduring support for the healthcare needs of the uninsured and underinsured.
Established in April of 2008, the Endowment recognizes Dr. Caskey’s commitment to the health of our community.
Northern Arizona Care and Services After Assault – funds go to support the Sexual Assault Survivor’s Support Group and services to provide follow-up care (medications, counseling, office visits not covered by program or Victim Compensation funds) to victims of sexual assault that cannot afford it.
Maternal and Child Health funds go to Healthy Steps and Health Start to purchase car seats and Pack-N-Plays for families that need them.
Funds help support the purchase of HIV rapid tests and staff education.
Funds go to support community-based training experiences for future health professionals through the Colorado Plateau Center for Health Professions (CPCHP). CPCHP exists to improve the overall health of rural and underserved communities in northern Arizona through excellence in education, training, and research.
The Well Woman HealthCheck program provides free breast and cervical cancer screenings, diagnostics and treatment assistance for low income, underinsured, and uninsured women. Funds go to support uncovered expenses including pre-operative lab-work and client transportation.
